Fix Data2Desktop Trends after installing a Java update due to security issues.

After installing the latest Java update, Trends are no longer visible on the DataToDesktop and Data2Desktop website due to security issues. This article explains how to return Trends to a working state.

1) Go to Windows control panel and search for 'Java' and click the icon to open the Java Control Panal or search in Windows and open 'Configure Java'.

 

2) Select the Security tab and click 'Edit Site List...'

3) Click the "Add" button and add http://www.data2desktop.com and/or http://www.datatodesktop.com.  Please note that you will have to include the 'http://' in order for this to work.

4) Click 'Ok' and then click continue when you get the security warning.  Then click 'Ok' again to close the Java Control Panel.
 

5) Go back to your www.datatodesktop.com / www.data2desktop.com website and login. Select the 'Trends' tab and click 'Run' when you get the following warning.

Trends will now load.  You do not need to repeat this every time you wish to view triends, but you may encounter the warning in Step 5.  Simply click 'Run' and continue as usual.
