Why Omni16R is the 'SMART' choice for replacement of Rack Based Legacy Alarm Systems

There are many reasons why the Omni16R should be seriously considered when the time comes to replace those rack based legacy alarm systems. One of the major benefits, besides being a fast and cost effective upgrade/replacement solution is the increased reliability that it provides. Most Rack Based Legacy Alarm Systems rely on a single CPU, causing complete loss of the alarm system due to a single CPU failure. The Omni16R however does not rely on a single CPU.

Each Omni16R alarm card is a standalone 16 point alarm annunciator in it's own right, with it's own processor and watchdog, eliminating complete loss of the Alarm system due to a single CPU failure.
The Omni16R Alarm annunciator is based around the successful Omni16C alarm annunciator logic, cleverly re-packaged into a 19" rack mount version (up to 320 alarm points in a rack). The technology used in the Omni16R is identical to the Omni16C (providing the benefit of many years of field experience), which has also been Emphasis assessed for use in the UK Nuclear Industry. Omni16R is a proven upgrade path for 19" Rack mount Legacy alarm systems such as Babcock Clifford & Snell, RIS MPAS90, RIS AN5100 and Robinson Reed Alarm systems.
